Over here at Live Raleigh, we have a lot of passion for sharing our favorite local spots. With the holiday shopping season fast approaching the whole office is getting their shopping list together and we are all about shopping local and snagging that one of a kind gift to knock collective socks off. As you search for meaningful and unique gifts commences, check out this list we have put together to help support the local businesses that we love.
Edge of Urge Trendy and hip, Edge of Urge sits between Wine Authority and Two Roosters. Even without such delicious bookends, a trip to this side of Person Street is well worth your time. The shop is full of unique finds by local makers and independent designers. House of Hops With multiple locations, House of Hops is a great place to stop by for your holiday party needs. The friendly and helpful staff can guide you towards a growler or interesting bottle that’s sure to make you the toast of the party. NOFO Formerly a Piggly Wiggly, this one of a kind space does double duty as a restaurant on the lower level with a gourmet food market and gift shop on the upper level. The shop boasts eclectic local goodies with a distinctive southern flair. Videri Chocolate Factory Located on the edge of the Warehouse District, Videri is grand central station for Raleigh made chocolates. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable about the assortments they have on hand. As if that wasn’t enough, the coffee counter and outdoor patio give this chocolate shop amazing vibes. Deco Raleigh Located in the heart of downtown, Deco Raleigh is the premier stop for local goodies. The Zen Succulent A new fixture in downtown Raleigh, this succulent shop exudes charm. The walls and shelves are lined with beautiful goods and plants to bring a little Zen to your life. In the back of the store, a DIY bar allows you to craft your own succulent gardens. Live Raleigh and a few other small businesses call Brookside Plaza home. Our neighbors Curious Goods relocated from Hillsborough St. and have set up shop at the corner of the plaza. They are a gift shop where you can buy fun shirts and candles as well as incense or smoke supplies. Brookside Massage and Falafel & Co. are other awesome small business in our plaza. Falafel & Co serves up delicious Mediterranean food. Stop by for a bite and you can buy schedule a relaxing massage to relax over this busy holiday season.
