Raleigh is known for a lot of things. While romance might not be the highest on the list, Raleigh delivers a variety of ways to treat your significant other to a night of romance. Here are just a few ideas for inspiration:
A Classic Raleigh Date Night
Is your special someone a sucker for the classics? Flowers, Chocolate, Fine dining? Raleigh has some amazing options to cover those bases. Locally based Wylde, offers valentines bouquets that can be picked up at the Videri Chocolate Factory, taking care of two birds with one stone. Dining options like Ok-u, Barcelona Wine Bar, Stanbury, Vidrio and Sullivan’s offer romantic atmospheres, and put you in close proximity to downtown nightlife.
Staycation at the New Longleaf
Staycations are a great way to get much needed alone time and enjoy all the city has to offer. As Raleigh grows in its current stage of development, boutique hotels and guesthouses have popped up around the city. One of the newest is The Longleaf Hotel, which offers vintage vibes close to downtown. This setting is perfect for a quite night away.
For some the best kind of Valentine’s day is the gift of quality time. With the mild weather we have been enjoying, an inexpensive way to spend time together could be picnicking at some cool locations around the city. The RDU Observation Park, Rose Garden and Dorthea Dix Park are great places to enjoy some scenery and the company of your special someone.
Casual Date Night
Romance comes is all shapes and sizes. For those that enjoy a casual night out or doing something fun together head to the Alamo Drafthouse for dinner and a movie. The warehouse district is also a great spot for a casual date night when you can check out Crank Arm Brewery, Boxcar Bar + Arcade and dine in that area at spots like the Humble Pie or The Pit.
