Saint Patrick's Day

On a day where anyone can be Irish, the City of Raleigh sees some of its largest crowds. People come from near and far to enjoy the parade which will be starting roughly about 10 o'clock and ending around 11:30. From there the rest of the day can be celebrated at various block parties around the city. This is a family friendly parade and the group organizing it has provided a FAQ about the event.

Here is an interactive map of the route:

As mentioned the parade is not the only event  of the day.  Raleigh's Iconic Irish pub, Hibernian will host its annual block party from Noon until 11 PM and then move things inside. It advertises itself as a family friendly event and just around the corner the Tobacco Road  block party  will have bounce house and yard games until 7PM. From family friendly fun at these block parties to a pub crawl hosted by Isaac Hunter's Tavern on Fayetteville St., there is fun to be had for all.  Remember sunscreen and layers to make sure the elements don't get the best of you. Most of all remember to wear green.
